According to the scripture we learnt we could see that God was displeased with David for his actions

God gave David three options that he has to choose from it

Please I would like us to mention the three

Are we following

Before that if we study the verse 1 very well you will see that the devil was against Israel and made him go against his master

That signifies that the devil is looking around for ways to pull us down and sin against God

God gave David three options he said the first : Either three years of famine or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while the sword of the enemies take over

No matter how loved you are by God whenever you sin it won't stop him from punishing you

The Bible says that he chastises those he loves. Just the same way our parents do to us while growing up

The love God had for David did not stop him from chastising him

Same goes to Moses ,God loved him so much but just because he underestimate God and doubted God, God told him, you see that promise Land you won't get there and he never did

God sent pestilence to destroy Israel and the angels to destroy Jerusalem but that same God told the angels to stop

That is why his called the merciful God

Mercy spoke for them and they repented of their sins and the angel told David to build an alter for the lord

God indeed is a jealous God

Because of our time I would stop here

Answer
You will feel it in your inner spirit ,the Lord will either make you struggle for things that really don't deserve to be struggled for

David's experience shows that the decisions of a leader have serious consequences for the
happiness and welfare of those who follow him.

career or new job, leaders are often prudent and listen to others. Once power is firmly established they are tempted to think that their ideas are the
best and have difficulties dealing with contrary
opinions.

This is a warning: Don`t become like Saul who ‘did not keep the command of the Lord… and did not seek guidance from the Lord’ (10:13-14). What a violent end for a violent man!
