This is a warning: Don`t become like Saul who ‘did not keep the command of the Lord… and did not seek guidance from the Lord’ (10:13-14). What a violent end for a violent man! Saul made many mistakes over the course of his life and time as king, but the greatest seemed to surround his relationship with God.  He refused to listen to  God’s leading time and time again and instead turned to Satan himself for guidance.
